lyrics

Verse 1: Life's a series of serious choices always being made/ before beginning my teen stage always getting blazed/ those were middle school days sometime right after Katrina hit/ when my city drowned and that water had my people sick/ calculated steps started mastering the math/ realized decisions from my past lead me to this path/ my future will be determined by these choices I make/ a power we hold within how our own life is shaped/ but now I'm coming of age making wiser decisions/ staying away from traps in the system keeping us in prisons/ where conditions are poor staying alive is the hardest/ almost got myself sent away hit with felony charges/ not being the smartest with those who never want to see you better/ but thankful I caught it just in time got my life together/ surrounded myself with those who motivate to fill up/ your mind with the knowledge the foundation of it all when you start to build up

Verse 2: Really embracing the nature what was in it was enough for me/ never knew there were people in this world looking up to me/ little cousins and kids from my old block wanting me to lead them/ into something that will forever feed them/ it was clear that this music was my calling/ but find yourself trapped in your own life when you don't stop the stalling/ start creating or continue falling procrastination/ blessing you while I'm in my prime for deeper transformations/ my dedication to this art shows my heart is pure/ since my first steps on this Earth lot I had to endure/ harsh realities in my youth pushed me to go beyond this is what I love to fight for/ the rain help me write more/ they hate then they like yours/ it never stops so I move like its Black Ops in the city when I fight wars/ certain choices could be a good or a bad route/ like Trey when he told Dough Boy to let him out

Verse 3: Raised the vibration of my lyrics for every brother and sister/ since my best friend died in front of me like Antwone Fisher/ how this flow got sicker now can't you tell that I'm fired up/ got through it like Kanye when he had his mouth wired shut/ real music inspired us to go after our dreams/ met a kid from city both of his parents were fiends/ he was cold saw where the fire went inside his environment/ that's how it was in Magnolia, Calliope, Melpomene/ those the projects, death was something that you just had to process/ it was normal to see kids with guns dangerous objects/ walking up to they homies like you got yours? I got mine/ cause they thought the farthest that they was going was the stop sign/ when it's implanted in they minds/ so they start selling drugs just to get by and try to deal with them hard times/ so before you judge think of what they had to face/ and ask yourself did they have a choice in the first place?
